Celebrating community event with the Auckland Buddhist Centre

“Bringing faiths, cultures and community together” Saturday 9 September @ Grey Lynn Community Centre, 510 Richmond Road.

In this vein several faith denominations from the local area have been invited including Auckland Unitarian Church, Beth Shalom Progressive Synagogue, Amitabha Hospice, St Lukes Church, Ponsonby Mosque, Zen Centre, Nima Tashi Buddhist Centre, the Tongan Church and Grey Lynn Catholic Church. The event is designed to be inclusive, energetic and fun!

The programme will open with karakia and includes African drum dance group Nika, Brazilian folk music trio Bel Bossa, singer songwriter Kiri Kotara, Buddhist poet Karunajoti, classical flautist John Cranna and folk-country group The Logger Boys.

Conscious Layers, a team dedicated to popularising the "reuse" of fashion through experiences will run an interactive recycled fashion styling activity, both as a fun way of involving the audience and acknowledging that the environment requires our care too.

Bhadrakari says, “We would be delighted if you came along and celebrated with us, families are very welcome”

Tickets $30 children under 10 free, includes light supper, available at: https://aucklandbuddhistcentre.org/event/fundraising-concert-sep-17

Funds raised will contribute to community initiatives of the Auckland Buddhist Centre.
